Statement

This piece explores the question: "How do we shed a past of suffering and begin to heal?" The up-cycled tennis racket holder base adds structure and the dead tree bark and layers symbolize shedding the past.

​

Process: Experimenting with sketching, crochet, burned and torn paper, and gluing birch tree bark together.
